When visiting Bethel, State Auditor Millie Bentley would stay at a nice little place called Porterhouse Bed and Breakfast and, over the years, she became friends with the owner. Eventually, the owner decided to retire and Millie jumped on the opportunity to purchase the property and business. At a time in life where most people are considering retirement, Millie Bentley had a vision. She recognized that the attractive Porterhouse Bed and Breakfast location was ideal as it had extensive real estate for expansion. Millie purchased the property and the inn, renaming it Bentley's Bed and Breakfast.
Over the past 23 years, Millie has expanded the lodging compound. Bentley's has enjoyed a diversified clientele. Its waterfront location, large accommodations and leading reputation as the premiere place to stay when visiting Bethel makes Bentley's your ideal and friendly home away from home.
